Many manufacturers of doors and windows are increasingly asked by specifiers and contractors to prove that their products meet the latest standards and testing procedures.
Winkhaus Test Laboratories is a long established test facility which is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
UKAS accreditation ensures that all testing is carried out in strict accordance with the relevant standards and guidelines and that all of our equipment is calibrated and audited on a regular basis by the only government recognised body able to do so.
We can undertake testing on windows in accordance with the BS7950 security standard. Window types which are covered include casements, tilt and turns and (recently added) top swing reversible windows.
Doors are tested to PAS023/024, a range of tests which examine the durability and security of doorsets. Both inwards and outwards opening door sets can be tested along with doors with side-screens and the newly published tests for French Doors.
We have also recently invested £20,000 in our laboratory to ensure that we will shortly be able to test in accordance with the forthcoming European testing standard for doors, EN14351, which is linked to CE Marking.
Winkhaus Test Laboratories can test products from any manufacturer and works closely with Secure By Design. Its test results are accepted by BSI, BBA, BM TRADA and Chiltern Dynamics as a part of their certification schemes
