Cobra

Part of Winkhaus’ extensive range of door locking systems, the Cobra multi-point locking system has been designed and developed for use in all types of applications and a range of doors.

The Cobra is available as a lever operated, key operated or split follower (with latch withdrawal by key only on the outside) and is approved by the police ‘Secured by Design’ security initiative.

25mm throw solid steel Cobra hooks

High security solid forged steel and nickel plated hooks that fully engage the keep rail and help prevent forcing the sash and frame apart.

Weather seal compression adjustment in the keeps

Together with the enhanced tapered hook design, the adjustment in the keeps provides for low operating forces. With ±2mm adjustment it is possible to adjust for misalignment of the door during and after installation.

Heavy duty steel keeps

Heavy duty keeps manufactured using high grade steel, plated to comply with Grade 4 corrosion resistance BS EN1670.

High performance gearbox

Tested to 100,000 cycles, the sprung gearbox offers the lowest possible operating forces and helps prevent handle ‘droop’.

Cylinders and handles

Cobra multi-point locks have been designed to harmonise with the Winkhaus range of security euro-profile cylinders both for single domestic dwellings and also for multi-occupancy dwellings where masterkey systems are required.

Lifetime Adaptability

Cobra is a part of the ‘Winkhaus Family of Locks’ with exactly the same routing details as the Winkhaus Cobra, Thunderbolt, Trulock+ and autoLock AV2 and AV3 locking mechanisms allowing the locks to be interchanged for user requirements or building use.
