Fire Door Compliance Officer

In line with our growth strategy Winkhaus UK Ltd are expanding our technical team seeking a Fire Door Compliance Officer to ensure our continued compliance with current and future legal & compliance requirements.

Reporting to the Fire Door Product Manager the successful candidate will develop and understanding of the current and evolving Fire, Smoke & Security doorset compliance requirements and come from a compliance background of systems compliance, 3rd party certification, legislation and quality systems management.

Over the past decade the Winkhaus UK technical team have been involved in the creation and implementation of the latest standards and guidance for fire doorsets. All our fire doorset solutions are compliant with the latest DLUHC guidance and are triple Q Mark independent 3rd Party audited.

Responsibilities

Support the Senior Product and Technical Manager and the Fire Door Product Manager in maintaining the 3rd Party Certification associated with fire, smoke and security fire doorsets.

Role responsibilities include:

- identifying the fire, smoke and security test evidence is required to maintain the 3rd Party Certification of fire doors.

- to continually maintain and update all fire door compliance documentation, eg. Primary test evidence, FoAp’s, thermal performance, Conformity Marking (UKCA/ CE) etc. including all secondary operational compliance contracts – machining of fire door leaves etc.

- organise and manage the testing of Winkhaus product solutions at both in house and external testing facilities.

- working with the Product Management team in producing detail drawings and production specifications for the creation of Fire and Security Door Set solutions.

- developing an understanding of market sector legislation for fire doorsets in social housing (via business networking) and report business opportunities and/or risk to into our business meeting cycle.

Experience

The successful candidate will come from a compliance background with an understanding of systems compliance, 3rd party certification, legislation and quality systems.

The role is based from our offices in Kettering with some travel required to support continued compliance.
